JJ Brown is owner/operator of Kenai River Trout Anglers. He has guided thousands of anglers of all levels in his 23 year career as a professional Kenai River Fly Fishing Guide. His patience makes him a very effective teacher. His attitude makes him a very easy-going person to fish with. He is a graduate of the Kenai River Guide Academy. He also has a B.A. in Recreation Resource Management from Lyndon State College. JJ has a real passion for the river that he loves to share with anyone who wants to go fishing.

Matt Rima
Matt Rima has had the pleasure of guiding the Kenai river for the last ten years. From the upper Kenai and its awesome scenery to the pillars boat launch on the lower Kenai, this great river has became his home. He is a year round resident of Cooper Landing. Matt can be found on the river in the dead of winter on the coldest day Alaska can offer. A true die hard!
Matt has taken anglers of all ages, skill level, and backgrounds over the years. His love for the outdoors, fishing, and the river shows as he makes sure it is a safe day while showing his guest an adventure of a lifetime. If you like technical fishing with nymphs or dry flys, swinging a 2 hander, using spin rods, or just getting on the water and doing whatever is working best, Matt is here to guide you in his backyard- the Kenai River!

In 2015 the Air Force brought Brandon to Alaska and he hasn’t left since. with over 10 years of experience fishing the Pacific Northwest for King salmon, sturgeon, trout, and bass. Marty uses this experience to target all species The Kenai River has to offer. With competence in both spin and fly fishing, any angler will feel at home on his boat. Patience is the key to his practice and he welcomes anglers all skill levels and backgrounds.
