Lower Kenai River Fishing Trips
The Lower Kenai River (Moose River to Kenai River Mouth) has traditionally been more of a powerboat fishing area and is well known for it’s massive King salmon. However, it does attract trout fisherman in drift boats too. Due to the abundant food resources available in the this section of the river, rainbow trout, steelhead (ocean-run), and Dolly Varden move in and out of this zone throughout the season. Gorging themselves on small fish, salmon eggs, and salmon carcasses allow them to reach record size!
If you have already fished the upper and middle Kenai River sections, you should make sure to cap off the trifecta with a Lower Kenai River Fishing Trip too. The change of scenery and equally as productive fishing waters won’t disappoint! Call Kenai River Trout Anglers to ask about a trip on the Lower Kenai River, they will let you know if the bite is on, and if it is, you won’t want to miss out!
